When applying Boo-Boo Magic™ to a baby’s bottom, one direct spray is generally enough. Our product sprays and sticks. This means it won’t drip off your baby’s bum, like other sprays and creams, which prevents the treatment from actually working and creates a mess for families.

Zinc Oxide is a natural mineral. It is most commonly used in many sunscreens and skin ointments. Zinc Oxide is the white substance of the spray and helps to form the protective barrier between the skin and any wetness.

Dimethicone is a silicone-based ingredient that provides the spray’s soothing relief. It is commonly used in skincare products. Qualities include calming redness, providing relief, and replacing petrolatum-based ingredients.

While each baby is different, generally being proactive about preventing diaper rash can help ease the pain.

• First, do frequent diaper changes to increase the amount of air that a baby’s bottom gets. This will also decrease the amount of time that the skin is wet.
• Make sure that your baby’s skin is completely dry before putting on a new diaper.
• If possible, try to have some diaper-free time to fully air baby’s skin.
• Make sure the diaper is the correct size (not too small) and appropriately fastened (not too tight).
• Warm baths can help soothe and cleanse the area. Make sure to follow the tip of fully drying the skin after a bath. Gently pat dry.
• Boo-Boo Magic spray is a gentle preventative spray. Apply once after bath time and during diaper changes to get ahead of the rash development.
